Pike’s Peak Climb
Hello again, everyone.
Recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Pike’s Peak in Colorado. 14,146 feet in elevation, and a 13 mile hike to get there….but it was so worth it. Some of you have see a few of these photos, but I wanted to post a few of them here for everyone to see. These were shot with my D50 body and my Nikon 18-55mm lens. I considered using a polarizing filter, but decided against it since most of what I was shooting was the trail itself. I have only worked a few of these photos, but I have included both the B+W and the HDR versions. I feel that some of these present with certain Ansel Adams quality…some however, don’t. At either rate, the climb itself was exhausting, but it was well worth it for these and some of the upcoming shots. Not to mention the fact that the awesome beauty of God’s creation was completely breathtaking. I wish for each and every one of you to get the chance to experience it yourself, if you haven’t already. Here are a few shots from that trip. Please check out the rest in my Gallery. For now…..enjoy!
